I thought these were trees! But whatever they are, they are too cool! I have to agree that this makes my skin crawl also, simply because I feel I am on another planet. The concave patterns are wonderful - great work!

Hey, Patricia! I hope you will take this as a compliment (it is, to me): I love this painting, and it makes my skin crawl. The creatures are so neat, I can FEEL them, propagating themselves into the world, kind of elephantlike proboscuses with fungus rippling. Maybe I imagine that rippled skin as my own, and feel itchy. But that's a kind of excitement, and I feel like it enlarges the boundaries of what I can deal with in the world. Then the soothing ocean water calms my skin down ...
