The natural arch and the remains of the old brick works at Porth Wen Anglesey, North Wales.

Situated on the beautiful north coast of Anglesey, the abandoned Porth Wen Brick Works is a fascinating piece of industrial archaeology.

The site was in operation between 1850 and 1914 and produced bricks of a special quality, capable of withstanding very high temperatures and so making them suitable for use in kilns or furnaces.

Ian Mitchell is a photographer and digital artist who specialises in landscapes, seascapes and indoor architecture. Ian frequently visits the Snowdonia National Park, to capture endless, evocative, and powerful images. Ian has taken photographs for most of his life but only recently become passionate about sharing and selling his work that brings pleasure to himself and others. His main aim in his work is to try and take you to that special place, and try and share with you the beauty and atmospheric feel he enjoyed, whilst capturing the image.
