Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. About James Douglas Draper
After 30 years as a senior design engineer in the automotive field I missed the creative aspects that some parts of my job entailed. Years earlier before career and business became paramount I had done portrait work of grade school mates in charcoal and fun work in pastels, along with Currier & Ives style oil painting later on. I wanted to break free from those constraints that engineering tends to impose and develop my own body of abstract work that I could continue to evolve in a multitude of directions as the spirit and materials moved me.
