Wonderful work... I love the rushing water.....

Thank you Iris. Water has the ability to fascinate us. I painted this with a single color using lights and shadows to create the water.

Wow! Anne I appreciate all your work that I've enjoyed traveling through on your site and am really impressed by your dipping into the contemporary digital paint brush too. Thanks also for 'liking' my good ol' friend Harold Shull. I worked with him for years commuting together as commercial artists in N.Y.C. and as buddies many years ago and have many stories we share. By the way - might you be of Norwegian descent? I'm first generation Brooklyn Norwegian and have joined their sites - Bayridge Norwegians and Brooklyn Norwegians, great fun.

Anne Norskog replied:

Thank you George for your kind comments. My husband is the Norwegian. His grandfather was from Telemark, Norway.

Thanks Kevin--probably a good idea for most of us. ;-D We used to go fishing in the Clark's Fork River. Absolutely stunning in its beauty. The trout are pretty good too. It was always river bank fishing--never out in it.

This one really works for me. It is the reason I stay out of boats on fast rivers.

Thank you Sonia. I did a bit of work getting the water to move. This one is a monochrome with the use of light and shadow--done mostly in Adobe Photoshop Elements. I drew the basic shapes in Paintbrush and proceeded from there.

Thank you Paula. White water is fascinating to watch. This was painted with a single color, using shadows and lights for contrast.
