This painting is hanging in the Disability Resource Center at Portland State University in Portland, OR. It's part of our gallery wall of disability art in our reception area and we love it!

It is alright! I reached out to the company and artist prior several times with no response. Not been the best experience. The art is simple and my son likes it so that is good!

I'm struggling with service. Order should have been shipped some time ago, but there's no updates, so I spoke with FAA staff in the service centre, but they couldn't tell me either. They raised a ticket internally and promised an email update. Nothing. Its a black hole and they have my money. Unhappy !

This was given as a gift to a counselor who was retiring after 20 years of service at a senior citizen residence. Counseling is often compared to the Mission of Jesus to raise the dead to new life....bringing life to dead hearts. Holding out hope. The counselor loves slightly abstracted art forms and this one was perfect. We attached a biography of the artist and a list of her Biblical Paintings.

Love it!

Bought the Noel Gallagher Union Jack guitar as a super-size canvas print and an iPhone X cover. Both look fantastic, especially the canvas print. Very iconic, cool colors, great purchase.

Artist's Description

Granite invading gneiss. Cut rock surface showing granite (pink) invading gneiss (grey). This rock mixture was formed by molten magma" rising from deep in the Earth and forcing its way into layers of gneiss. The magma has cooled and solidified in- to granite, a type of igneous rock. Diagonal pink bands show where veins of magma penetrated lines of weakness in the gneiss. Gneiss is a type of me- tamorphic rock: it is formed from other types of rock that are baked by intense heat and pressure underground. Most gneiss is made in the roots of mountains, where extreme conditions are generated by continental plates colliding. Magnification x0.25 at 35mm size."

About George Bernard/science Photo Library

Science Photo Library was founded in 1981 by Michael Marten, one of the authors of "Worlds Within Worlds", a book exploring different ways to observe the universe - from electron micrographs, to images of earthrise taken from the Apollo spacecraft. When Marten started receiving requests for the beautiful images in the book, he had an idea of setting up Science Photo Library. Since then, Science Photo Library has continued to work alongside world acclaimed photographers and the leading science and medical experts to provide a central source of the best science and specialist imagery available. Although the collection started with scientific images, it has grown to encompass all aspects of science and their impact on everyday life.
