Description
I've personally been visiting Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada off and on for over 50 years, but I never tire of sitting on the granite rocks and watching the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean. The iconic lighthouse, one of the most photographed places in all Canada, has come to be a symbol of "Canada's Ocean Playground" as Nova Scotia is called. The tiny fishing village is well worth a leisurely visit, both for the views and the wonderful seafood!

Hey George, what a beautiful serene moment you have captured here, wonderful contrasts and feel. May I ask what is the land we see in the distance ? Really spectacular scene !! voted here and in contest. ~ nana
George Cousins replied:
Hi NANA,thanks so much for your lovely comments, and for the votes. The land in the distance is the western shore of St. Margaret's Bay. Peggy's Cove is on the tip of the eastern side of the Bay.

Very resplendent capture of this silhouetted lighthouse and shoreline, with the water darkened, and the great sunset! Nicely done, George!
George Cousins replied:
I just checked and I have about 30 shots of that sunset as it was going down..a really beautiful one, it was hard to pick the "keepers".
