Amazing print!!

February 20th, 2019

My whole family is super pleased with our new (what looks like a) glossy photo above our fireplace! It's a great memory from one of our landing spots on our recent vacation ... printed on metal! Although the delivery was delayed from original date, the customer service team explained that the metal they originally received wasn't up to par, so they delayed printing until better metal in this size (5' wide) arrived, which made for a better result in the end.

A beautiful picture. In a place that we have vacation often. I've hung it in my stairwell.

Received our piece today and I absolutely love it! It is exactly what I was looking for and the quality is outstanding. I also really appreciate the fast delivery and overall quick turn around time. I want to thank Greg so much again for working with me and answering all of my questions. He was a pleasure to work with!

We are very happy the product we ordered. We find all of Alpha Wanderlust's work amazing and have had our sights on this particular photo for quite sometime. We went with the metal print and love how it accentuates the hallway we placed it in. Our guests consistently comment on it, asking who took the photo and where did we get it from. We look forward to purchasing again in the future.

Artist's Description

Grandpa Elliott Small, born Elliot Small in 1945, also known as Uncle Remus, is a veteran street-musician in New Orleans, Louisiana. He plays the harmonica, sings, and is a street icon in New Orleans. Here he is taking a break on the corner of Royal and St Peter streets in the French Quarter. He arrives here most mornings by taxi and spends his days singing his soulful songs and playing his harmonica. It's the place where everybody knows his name."When I feel sick, I come out here to feel better," he said. "The French Quarter is my medicine." Small completely lost his sight to glaucoma until 2005. It was in that year that recording engineer and producer Mark Johnson launched a project called Playing for Change, dedicated to promoting international unity through music. He began recording performances by street performers from around the world. Johnson heard Small sing the Ben E. King hit "Stand by Me" and immediately recorded him singing the tune on Royal Street, making his performanc...

It was my four tours to India that formed me most profoundly, both as a person and as a photographer. It is a magic land of extremes in every sense of the word. More recently I had the opportunity to expand my world view with travel to the Peruvian Andes, the back roads of West...
