This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY In 1966 I graduated from my High School Provoso West in Hillside, IL. I did not take any art or music classes. My main interest was in cars. I bought an old engine when I was 16 rebuilt it and then bought a 1957 Chevy body to put it in. Restoring autos has been a recurrent theme in my life. Over the years I have learned how to do body work and to spray paint autos. One of the major no nos in auto work is not to have a perfect unblemished finish. That means any runs or drips are looked upon as inferior workmanship. Needless to say studying the slash and dash paintings from the N.Y. School i.e.:DeKooning and Pollock.
