It has several moods, which are displayed by facial expressions. Kismet responds to visual stimuli like a baby. Pleasing visual stimuli cause it to look happy, while a lack of stimuli cause it to show a sad expression. Too much stimulation causes it to become distressed. Like a child, Kismet responds best to bright colours and moderate movements. Kismet was designed by Cynthia Breazeal, a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Lab of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), USA.
