Description
Orbital maintenance docking. Illustration of a reusable crew capsule (RCC, upper left) docked with an orbital maintenance platform (OMP, lower right) in high Earth orbit. The RCC can support a crew of up to seven astronauts and is capable of returning independently to Earth. The OMP, designed in the style of an International Space Station (ISS) module, includes a robotic arm. The RCC is 8 metres long with solar voltaic panels (blue) spanning 15 metres. The OMP is 13.7 metres long, and includes a multi-thruster propulsion system, a pressurized component, and a windowed cupola. This docked configuration is around 21 metres long and 5.5 metres across.
