About Kim George
I am completely self-taught and consider myself a folk artist. I entered the world of painting as a way to provide myself art therapy. I hadn't tried painting until Spring 2014. The BIG change... The winter of 2013 while at work as a nurse I was injured and found myself on the floor of the unit unable to support myself on my own legs. Rushed to the ER, it was determined that I had a spinal injury in my neck and they believed also a small stroke. I needed emergency C-Spine surgery. Waking up from that, I no longer could feel my fingertips, my arms and legs no longer working right. My emotions were taken and beat up like a boxer. Everything I was: changed. I knew I wouldn't be able to be a nurse anymore. This was augmented by my missing...
