One of Murphy's very first paintings. A lady I worked with had a Seahawks painting done by an Elephant and I just had to give her one done by a horse. Now you too can be a Hawks fan! And yes, this painting was painted by a horse! Murphy, the painting horse does all the brush strokes and the imagery is collaboration with his human, Candace. Originally, Candace wanted to find a way to put a hidden picture in Murphy's paintings by masking a shape between layers of color. She soon realized she could use masking in ways that create graphical images. By using painter's tape cut to mask layers of color, Candace works with Murphy's brush strokes to create unique paintings. Their creations are collaboration between horse and human; something born of true partnership.
