This 15' x 15' x 15' sculpture is located in The Sun Life Building on 4th Street in Calgary, Alberta. This sculpture was created in 1995 and incorporates a real 4,000 year old Wood Bison skeleton. The piece depicts an animal seeking shelter from a storm and becoming frozen through time in a glacier. Through the creation of this piece I discovered a way to shatter glass but maintain its structural integrity. The cracked glass that was on the market had severe limitations...it is always under stress, it could not be cut, it could not be made to the size I needed. The technique I developed and patented does not have any of these issues, furthermore, when using my technique the glass can be cut with conventional power tools.
