Description
Uranium glass fluorescing under ultraviolet illumination. This glass uses uranium as a colouring agent, normally in the form of a diuranate salt. The glass is known for its yellow or yellowish-green colour that glows prominently when placed under a blacklight. The fluorescence is a way of detecting fake uranium glass, normal glass with green colouring added. Uranium glass is also known as canary glass or vaseline glass.
