This test detects the levels of glucose and ketone in the urine, with the colours on the test stick (in right hand) compared to the colours on the chart held in the left hand. This test stick shows a negative result. High levels of ketone and glucose in the urine can indicate a diagnosis of diabetes, where the body is resistant to or fails to produce the insulin needed to break down sugars in the blood. Instead, fats are broken down, producing ketones.
