Thanks Charles ....... http://creativepassion-tina.blogspot.com/
This a magnificent painting. Such grand brush/pastel work and explosive colors and combined with the conceptual counterpoint of a quiet, reflective portrait.
This one should make you proud.
Thanks Beena and Robert, was indeed a lot of fun painting this one..........no holding back as far as colours were concerned.
Robert, to answer your question regarding Wet Pastels.......... Print making paper is soaked for about 7 minutes (initial drawing done lightly using lead pencil), I use tinted Stonehenge paper. Next, I lay the paper flat on a plexiglass sheet and apply colour using Chalk/Soft Pastels. Pastels simply melt on the wet surface into a creamy paste...time is of essence, one must work rather quickly. Colours are way darker on the wet surface so a test run is highly recomended.
Beautiful Tina, love your colourful Ushi!!!
Tina, beautiful painting! What is wet pastels?
