This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Artist's Description

St. John's is the capital and largest city in Newfoundland and Labrador, and is the oldest English-founded city in North America. It is located on the eastern tip of the Avalon Peninsula on the island of Newfoundland. With a population of 200,600 as of 2012. Its name has been attributed to the feast day of John the Baptist, when John Cabot was believed to have sailed into the harbor in 1497, and also to a Basque fishing town with the same name.

Newfoundland was claimed as an English colony in the name of Elizabeth I in 1583, temporarily captured by the Dutch in 1665, and attacked three times by the French who captured and destroyed its settlements in 1689 and 1707. St John's was retaken each time and re-fortified. British forces used St. John's fortifications during the Seven Years' War in North America, the American Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. St. John's served Allied needs in World War II by providing an air base for the US Army Air Corps and a harbor for antisubm...

About Perla Copernik

Perla Copernik

My photography journey started when I was 14 years old. Along with photography came my love for nature and wildlife which led me to become a biologist and explore my passion for birds. Thanks to years of traveling to different countries and exploring diverse cultures my photography themes expanded to include images of cities, places, buildings and people around the world. Through the years I have come to realize that as eclectic as my photography subjects are, there is a common denominator that influences my work. My motivation comes from my need to tell stories and my respect for everything that surrounds us, whether it is an animal, a landscape, our history reflected in buildings, temples, cities, ways of life, or people’s...
