Aloha... Good morning Sharon☺ Very beautiful scenery! VF

"One of the great advantages of Kahikinui for archaeological landscape studies is that an entire moku or district-level settlement pattern is preserved relatively undisturbed, including the temple system. Ethnographic information, summarised well by Valeri (1985:17288), reveals a complex hierarchy of temple forms and functions, a complexity mirrored by the archaeological remains of temples in Kahikinui (Kolb and Radewagen 1997; Kirch 2004). Of particular significance for the Hawaiian planter was a class of temples dedicated to the rites of Lono the principal deity of dryland cultivation, associated with thunder and the life-giving rains. According to Valeri (1985:15, Table 1) and Handy and Handy (1972:1378), Lono was closely linked with the cultivation of sweet potato; Kamakau (1976:278) gives the text of a prayer chanted at the conclusion of sweet potato planting, to invoke the rains of Lono. Temples dedicated to Lono are variously referred to in indigenous texts as Hale o Lono (House of Lono), waihau-ipu-o-Lono , unu-o-Lono , or heiau hoouluulu ai (temple for the increase of foodcrops) (Kamakau 1976:129; Malo 1951:160)"

Magnificent view and colors Sharon! v/f

I never received my order, or even a shipping notification. I will have to dispute the charge soon, although I'd still rather have the item. :)

I would love to provide a picture of this product, unfortunately I can't because it never shipped to me and no one at Pixels has been interested in discussing this situation with me despite multiple emails asking for an update.

Worst experience ever. Ordered on 16/08/2017 and estimated ship date was 21/08/2017, it's 06/09/2017 now and there is still no info when item will be shipped. Tried to contact pixels.com twice via contact form, no answer. Charger supposed to be gift for my father's birthday on 09/09/2017 but you managed to ruin it. Since I tried to contact You via contact form, and got no result. I hope that you'll read this comment and return me my money, since you failed to deliver product which is now useless to me because you weren't able to provide any info for couple of weeks

I bought this for my sister who is graduating soon. She spends a lot of time on her cell phone, and I thought this would be a personal and usefu giftl. The image is a bit dark but over all nice quality. The charger came with some charge (blue light came on). It looks easy to use, and I'm eager to see how my sister likes it!

Artist's Description

Wiliwili, with the scientific name Erythrina sandwicensis, is a species of flowering tree in the pea family, Fabaceae that is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. It is the only species of Erythrina that naturally occurs here. It is typically found in Hawaiian tropical dry forests on leeward island slopes up to an elevation of 600 m (2,000 ft). Wiliwili means "repeatedly twisted" in the Hawaiian language and refers to the seedpods, which dehisce, or twist open, to reveal the seeds. Wiliwili trees grow to a height of 4.59 m (1530 ft) with a gnarled and stout trunk that reaches 0.30.9 m (0.983.0 ft) in diameter. The bark is smooth, slightly fissured, and covered in gray or black spines up to 1 cm (0.39 in) in length. The bark on the main trunk of mature trees has a distinct orange cast, which is caused by a terrestrial alga. The wiliwili is summer (dry season) drought deciduous. The dry season usually begins in late April or in May, and trees in the wild typically lose all of...
