Description
I am a bit of a history nerd. A professional student, if you will. I love learning new tid bits and factoids about our past - both here and abroad. With the 150 year anniversary of Antietam upon us, I am revisiting my images from our most recent East Coast road trip. To travel through time, through a camera lens, through the history books is such an eye opening experience.
This image was taken in Pennsylvania - nowhere near any actual battle fields. It still makes me think, and wonder - idyllic locations like this are host to such savage memories and scarred earth. I cannot help but reflect on what life would have been like then - whether on the battle field or a homestead miles and miles away. Snap!
Thank you for taking a peek!
