Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

This image may not be used to state or imply the endorsement by the Chemical Heritage Foundation of any product, service or activity, or to concur with an opinion or confirm the accuracy of any text appearing alongside or in logical association with the image. 17th Century political satire, historical artwork. 1647 etching by Romeyn de Hooghe entitled 'Den franschen Algemist', satirising the contradicting interests of the Dutch-French War by comparing the events of the war to ingredients being used in a chaotic alchemist's workshop, causing unintended results. The Bishop of Strasbourg is depicted in the bottom three scenes as a devil in form of Dr Faustus.
