I would like to change the portrait size to 40” instead of 48” width

This piece is absolutely beautiful, and Fine Art America delivered great service. High quality reproduction and framing, shipped quickly and safely, and fully met my expectations. I love Linda Woods art. Check out her portfolio.

I thought it would illuminate under a blacklight but I still like it. Description could be improved.

It is a beautiful image of White Buffalo Woman. The framing was done well. I am disappointed that the upper right side (background) of the image is much darker then what was on my monitor. I found that it takes away from the beautiful flowing dark hair of White Buffalo Woman. It would have been spectacular if the background was lighter. For this, I am somewhat disappointed. Artist's Description

Sir John Evans 1887 bronze medal struck in his honour by the Numismatist Society of London, to which he was president. Father of Sir Arthur Evans - the excavator of Minoan Crete. John Evans ran a successful paper Mill in Hemel Hempstead but found time to excel as an amateur in various academic fields. His 1859 work with Joseph Prestwich in the Somme established the case for human antiquity and broke the human time barrier". He was scientifically confirming the work of Boucher De Perthes, following a lead by Hugh Falconer. At around the same time he re-discovered the neglected observations of John Frere 1797 on British handaxes. Evans' book "The ancient stone implements, weapons and ornaments of Great Britain" (1872) is a classic work of prehistoric archaeology. He also wrote the standard text on "The Ancient Bronze Implements, Weapons and Ornaments of Great Britain and Ireland" (1881)."

About Paul D Stewart

Science Photo Library was founded in 1981 by Michael Marten, one of the authors of "Worlds Within Worlds", a book exploring different ways to observe the universe - from electron micrographs, to images of earthrise taken from the Apollo spacecraft. When Marten started receiving requests for the beautiful images in the book, he had an idea of setting up Science Photo Library. Since then, Science Photo Library has continued to work alongside world acclaimed photographers and the leading science and medical experts to provide a central source of the best science and specialist imagery available. Although the collection started with scientific images, it has grown to encompass all aspects of science and their impact on everyday life.
