Excellent quality

Sitting inmy display unit along with my 2 others.

The mug is nice as long as you don't look underneath, at the bottom of it. The white paint/glaze doesn't cover the bottom; there is black showing throughout--as if they ran out of paint/glaze or, more likely, the mug was placed on something while the paint/glaze was still wet so much of it all came off. Makes them look cheap instead of higher quality. Real disappointment, given price and reputation, I'd thought, of Conde Nast and the content of the New Yorker cartoons. As an analyst, I'd bought them as professional gifts and I'm not using half of them because of this defect.

The mug is nice as long as you don't look underneath, at the bottom of it. The white paint/glaze doesn't cover the bottom, there is black showing throughout, as if they didn't cover up the base material in the first place or when drying was placed on something that took off a lot of it before even drying. Makes them look cheap instead of higher quality. Real disappointment, given price and reputation, I'd thought, of Conde Nast and the content of the New Yorker cartoons. As an analyst, I'd bought them as professional gifts and I'm not using half of them because of this defect.

Artist's Description

The old DuBois House is the centerpiece of DuBois Park. One of the oldest pioneer homes in Palm Beach County, it is built on a Native American midden. This picture depicts the Pineapple House, where DuBois and his wife lived until their house was built in 1898. He had this house floated to its present spot and it predates all the other buildings. Sadly, it is in great disrepair
