This image depicts a beautiful custom-built 1934 Ford 5-window street rod with its round headlights mounted on the fenders on each side of the grille, and from the pointed radiator shell and sweeping fenders back to the raked-back windshield and smoothly tapered rear deck.
For 1934, Ford again updated their V8 line with a more powerful engine and slight styling changes. The V8 engines went through their teething problems mainly because the engines were rushed into production. They were prone to overheating, cracked blocks and piston and bearing failures. Once these problems were corrected, the engines proved their potential and stayed in production for the next twenty years.. Despite being introduced during the midst of America's depression, the '34 Ford Deluxe enjoyed much success with the public.
