A "Bobber" truck hot rod is a modified vehicle that is made from a vintage pickup cab from the early 1950's and older. The cab is usually chopped and is channeled over a frame, usually a simple ladder frame that uses a traditional transverse (Ford) spring suspension with a dropped straight axle in the front. The bed is shortened (bobbed) and the wheelbase is considerably shorter than a stock wheelbase, hence the nickname "bobber". The bobber in this image was made using a 1937 Chevy pickup cab and 1934 Ford commercial grill and is powered by a small block Chevy V8 with lakester headers. This image originally started as a pen and ink sketch that I digitized and simplified for use on apparel such as t-shirts. Wear your hot rod style! David King
