About The Poster:
This poster is for a temporary exhibition featuring the use and integration of calligraphy in contemporary Japanese art. The advertisement was created for Musée Cernuschi, a Parisian museum founded in 1858 that specializes in Asian art. According to its website, it "is one of the oldest museums of Paris. The Cernuschi museum is the only municipal museum in France which exhibits high level Asian art and it is the 2nd most important Asian art museum in France, and 5th most important in Europe. With about an inventory of ten thousands pieces ranging from ancient bronzes (14th B.C. - 3rd A.D.) and burial figures (3rd B.C. - 12th A.D.) to rare buddhist sculptures (5th - 11th A.D.), the Cernuschi museum collections are internationally famous."
