The AMC AMX, representing American Motors Experimental, was produced in low production numbers 8,293. A Big Bad paint option for $34 became available starting in mid-1969. Other options were a 390ci V8 and manual Hurst floor shifter... clocking in at 0-60 in 6.6 secs.
In 1969 and 1970 the AMX was named 'Best Engineered Car of the Year' by the American Automotive Society of Engineers. Midwest car show
