After numerous requests, at last I’ve done up this drawing of the much-revered original Boss 302. This awesome version of the Mustang was conceived as a way to homologate some very trick performance components into a production car, thereby making the Mustang eligible for the popular Trans Am racing series. After a season of development, the Boss 302 was finally successful in winning the Trans Am series outright in 1970. Production versions on “The Boss” proved very popular on the street as well and the surviving cars are much sought-after by today’s collectors. This print makes a great addition to any Mustang enthusiast's rec room, bar, office or den. I�ve been a total gearhead since I was a kid and first got introduced to cars and racing. I elected to make art and illustration my career and set out from college as an independent freelancer doing design and illustration work for a wide variety of clients. I�ve been at it for over 40 years now. Back in the mid-1970�s, I had the idea of doing a series of art-prints that were very technical-looking and would appeal to both engineering-types and automotive enthusiasts. These early designs were laminated onto plaques and marketed quite successfully.
