The artist is my son and is very talented. In high school he was accepted by Chicago Art Institute but couldn’t afford the tuition. He graduated from Fredonia State University with a Fine Art degree.

The American Robin (Turdus migratorius), also known as the Robin or Common Robin, is a migratory songbird of the thrush family. It is the state bird of Connecticut, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
The American Robin is active mostly during the day and assembles in large flocks at night. Its diet consists of invertebrates (such as beetle grubs, earthworms, and caterpillars), fruits and berries. It is one of the earliest bird species to lay eggs, beginning to breed shortly after returning to its summer range from its winter range. Its nest consists of long coarse grass, twigs, paper, and feathers, and is smeared with mud and often cushioned with grass or other soft materials. It is among the first birds to sing at dawn, and its song consists of several discrete units that are repeated.

Thank You Tara. This was a lucky shot while walking thru the woods. Right spot with the camera set at the right settings.

Beautiful birds. We get boatloads of them around here. My dad has feeders set up everywhere in his yard. Nice clear shot too. Thanks for sharing. I love how you blurred out the background and kept everything in the foreground so nice and clear. People think these shots are easy but they are not. Birds are very erratic with their movements and fly away quickly. A really good zoom helps lol as I am sure you know.

The 1st Robin of spring promises us warmer weather, too bad this year Mother Nature has a different promise.
