The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This is a sample of Anorthosite from the high peaks region of the Adirondacks - Essex, NY. Very similar to the lunar highlands material. This particular sample is from a specimen that has been dated using a uranium lead isotopes. The age of this particular sample is 1154.6 million years (+/- 0.99 million years).
