My artwork is often inspired by the lush landscapes, tropical botanicals, exotic animals, and underwater scenes that surround me in my Caribbean home of St. Lucia. In my watercolor batik paintings, I use high-quality Chinese Habotai silk as my canvas. I create vibrant colors by layering alternating washes of watercolor and wax to give my pieces a distinct impressionistic quality.
