About Loretta Orr
Loretta Orr taught art for 34 years, retiring in 2007 to pursue her painting, photography and other artistic interests. She has worked in pencil and pastels,and during her teaching career was commissioned to do two portraits of former Superintendents for the school district. Currently she is painting with acrylics, and Loretta loves to use bright, bold colors in a style that often combines characteristics of realism and expressionism with added elements of a different time or place. She also loves to paint animals to capture their personality, and received The People's Choice Award for her wolf painting, "Contemplation", at The Midland Art Council's "Summer Gallery Exhibit" held at The Lincoln Art Performing Arts Center in Midland,...
