VERY beautiful, distinctive mug. I purchased it to replace another mug of the Detroit skyline, the latter of which I had purchased in a souvenir shop at Detroit Metro (Airport) many years ago. I LOVE this new one, which is a true work of art! It shows the city of Detroit as I know it to be--a jazzy, intensely vivid (even if often gray below Michigan skies), multi-textured, exciting, caring, impressive city that is rising like a Phoenix from the ashes, just as the moon is rising above the city!

I created a wide range of drawings in which I gave fun personalities to dogs and drew them sitting at the bar, drinking, dancing, playing cards, and in general, cavorting the night away in entertaining scenes – the Great Dane sailor talking to the Fi-Fi poodle or the suave Doberman Pincer trying to charm the Boxer’s girl.
