Description
Hurricane damage. Lorry that was tossed on to its side, crushing a car, by Hurricane Jeanne, at Vero Beach, Florida, USA. Jeanne hit land at Hutchinson Island, Florida (just south of Vero Beach), just before midnight on 25 September 2004. At the time it hit, it was classified as a category 3 hurricane, which indicates winds between 178 and 209 kilometres per hour. The winds killed 5 people, brought down power lines, spawned tornadoes and caused flash floods. Jeanne was the fourth and final hurricane to strike Florida in the 2004 season.
