Petropolis, Brazil, is also known as The Imperial City, is located 68 km NE from the city of Rio de Janeiro. Because of the climate it is a popular summer holiday retreat and is the location of the former Summer Palace, which is now known as the Imperial Museum, home of the second Brazillian emperor.
