Description
Microfluidic probe, IBM research. PhD student Marios Georgiadis (ETH Zurich, Institute for Biomechanics) examining a silicon wafer containing dozens of microfluidic probes. These flexible, non-contact microfluidic probes, made from silicon, were developed at IBM. They are designed to aid researchers and pathologists working with tissue samples, enabling accurate drug testing and disease diagnostics. Photographed in January 2012, at IBM Research-Zurich, Switzerland.
