I remember sitting at a little round table for two at the Penthouse, with my date, watching and hearing the musicians. We came to hear Miles Davis, having listened to his records. I knew nothing about music, but I remember Miles Davis' sound was so smooth. While the other musicians played on, he would stand at the side, at times, relaxing by leaning on an elbow and drinking something. That makes sense to me, now, because it must have helped his playing to keep his mouth and throat moist. At his time to perform, he would stroll into the playing music and lift up his horn. His music transformed the room, carrying us away with the notes. I don't know if it was the date this photograph was taken. If Miles Davis only came to the Penthouse, once, then it was.

Dave Coleman replied:

Nice memories. I think he was there twice, once with Buster Williams on bass and once with Richard Evans. I

Dave Coleman replied:

Actually Tim Coleman replied, not Dave Coleman.

Tim, I think that this photo of the great Miles Davis, taken in the 60's by your father Dave Colman, is a masterpiece study of the artist at work.Look at his pose, the shoulders hunched into his instrument, you can almoist hear that horn blow those familiar jazz chords. Love this important, historical and I am sure extremely valuable photograph. Should be placed in a museum features jazz icons, Love this one.

Loved this onesie. Actually loved it so much I contacted the designer and had a special request to see if he could change the color of the FJ40 to match a friend of mines actual truck and he was more than willing to do it. So I ordered another onesie.

BUY A PIECE of HISTORY. Most of these prints are of paintings that are 40 to 60 years old. As you will see they are very unique and colorful.
