Description
This foto shows an old signpost for Monument Valley in Arizona, USA. It can bee seen from the road 163 coming from Kayenta. The rock formation lies in the Four-Corners-Region between Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. Erosion by wind, water and the high differences of day- and night temperatures formed these unique rock formations, which are called buttes. Most interesting I found the colors on the signpost: the orange combined with turquoise reminded my on advertisments in India. Also very interesting was, that on all my long way to the monument I had rain showers, when I approached the Oljato Monument valley, which is administrated by the local Navajos, the evening sun suddenly and surprisingly came out. Great luck!
