This is a digital painting of a pheasant. A combination of filters were used in this image. The original image was taken in the backyard.

This guy had been around for a few weeks one summer. What fun it was to watch him, especially when he would flap his wings and crow! Our four granddaughters had a great time watching him perform. When I was in my blind, he snuck up behind me and crowed! Scared the bejesus out of me...not once but several times! I'm not sure if this guy had been raised by someone or had escaped from a game farm. They are not common this far north.
