This photo is of the San Juan Islands and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, from atop Orcas Island, Washington. It's easy to see why the San Juan Islands attract people from all corners of the world. They are beautiful and charming, but remarkably unassuming. And in summer, there is nowhere more beautiful. In mid-afternoon, the blue skies and sparkling water seem to make time stand still.
