My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Storax Sedan, an underground 100-kiloton thermonuclear test conducted at Nevada Test Site on July 6, 1962 as part of Operation Plowshare, was a program designed to develop peaceful uses for nuclear explosives, such as canal and harbor building. Sedan left the largest man-made crater in the United States, displacing 12 million tons of earth and measuring 320 feet deep by 1280 feet in diameter. The first descent to the floor of the crater was made the following February. It took 15 minutes to climb down and an hour to climb back up. The man pictured is Lloyd Guymon, the descent party's photographer.
