Artist's Description
Forming part of the Trotternish Ridge, the Storr is perhaps one of the best-known landmarks on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Lying just north of Portree (the biggest town on Skye), the Storr is an easy location to get to.
About John Frid
John is a photographer and photography tutor working in the Highlands of Scotland. He takes his inspiration from the outstanding natural beauty of this true wilderness location with it's towering mountains, crystal-clear lochs and rivers, its magical glens and some of the best coastline the world has to offer. Scotland in general and the Highlands, in particular, is a place dominated by the weather and climate. Historically the land was scoured by ice, creating deep glens and jagged mountains. These days the ice has largely, but not entirely, gone, and it is the wind and rain that continues to shape this magnificent land. John tries to capture the true nature of the Highland landscape, crafting images that reflect this ancient...
