248 Spilled Life with Fruit 24x30 acrylic-canvas 2002
I wanted to do something less traditional than still life with Fruit in a Basket, so this was my answer to that. In this painting I like the glassy transparency of the blue bowl I got with a pallet knife the mauve shadow on the lemon, the and the clean mix on the banana and the strange, weird looking fruit just under the bowl on the left.

I find myself most drawn to the “happy accidents” of painting very fast and without a preconceived idea of where the thing is going or what it will show me.
