Crowned lemur (Eulemur coronatus) with baby. Crowned lemurs are endemic to the northern forests of Madagascar. Their bodies can reach lengths of 35 centimetres, with a tail that can grow to 45 centimetres. Crowned lemurs are social animals living in matriarchal groups of between 5 and 15 individuals. They feed mainly on fruit and leaves, but will also occasionally take small vertebrates and bird's eggs. Photographed in the Montagne des Francais Reserve, northern Madagascar.
