I'm thrilled with the cards! One of the cards I put into a 5x7 frame for someone and the other I sent as a card, both recipients LOVED them. Thank you! The quality of the picture on the cards is fabulous.

Excellent work! High-quality cards at fine price! Especially appreciated after poor-quality work elsewhere.

Mona's work is simply dreamy and the card quality is all that I'd hoped. I've been a fan for years, but since I can't afford to buy original art, I had an idea for a little piece for a new gallery wall and voila! So happy I thought of it and that FAM had these affordable offerings. I'll def be looking for more!

Artist's Description

Human brain. Computer artwork of a human brain in a head, with light coming from the eyes. The largest part of the brain is the cerebrum (upper left, convoluted). It controls conscious thoughts and actions. The cerebellum (red, centre left) controls balance and posture. The brainstem (red, running down to lower left) links the brain to the spinal cord. It also controls reflexes as well as unconscious actions such as breathing.

About Geoff Tompkinson

Science Photo Library was founded in 1981 by Michael Marten, one of the authors of "Worlds Within Worlds", a book exploring different ways to observe the universe - from electron micrographs, to images of earthrise taken from the Apollo spacecraft. When Marten started receiving requests for the beautiful images in the book, he had an idea of setting up Science Photo Library. Since then, Science Photo Library has continued to work alongside world acclaimed photographers and the leading science and medical experts to provide a central source of the best science and specialist imagery available. Although the collection started with scientific images, it has grown to encompass all aspects of science and their impact on everyday life.
