One donor, one project, one community at a time. In 2002 we created a new funding platform...with exciting results: 506410 donors, 168 businesses, $207M in donations, 13,970 funded projects, 164 countries. GlobalGiving made it possible for anyone in the world to give to projects and organizations they otherwise would never have known about.Then we added feedback tools...with really exciting results: 2,309 nonprofit partners have used our training tools, 2 out of 5 partners listened to feedback or advice about their programs, 82% of partners say GlobalGiving helps them improve their fundraising, 2/3 of partners say GlobalGiving helps them become more effective overall. We found that by sharing information and providing feedback tools, we could help our partners improve. Which made us wonder: Could we help our partners get access to more tools and information they need to improve not just fundraising but overall effectiveness? Is there a way to provide nonprofits the same direct feedback and 'market intelligence' that lean for-profit companies use to improve?Yes! GlobalGiving can help nonprofits: Listen •to the community they serve, •to what is working for others, •to the best research; Act •try something, •see what happens, •measure the results; Learn •what worked and what failed, •what should change, •what to do differently; Repeat! •integrate what works, •try a new experiment, •continuously improve impact.
