My work depicts very eclectic scenes in watercolor and usually exhibit surface texture in high contrast color. I enjoy experiments with color as it reacts to light and love chasing down a new texture technique: water on glass, a brick wall, fur and the like. I want to FEEL a painting with my eyes. I never really felt 'accomplished' as a watercolorist until I could readily and confidently apply a technique for a visual effect I wanted to render.
