Loved the art work and the quick service. However, the first piece of art had some paint rubbed off 2 corners. Fine Art quickly replaced. The replacement had paint rubbed off again. On the third replacement, I asked for extra packing to be included around the art so the paint wouldn’t rub off the corners. I was told extra packing would be included. It wasn’t. The third shipment had paint rubbed off on one corner. We opted to have the paint touched up locally.

I absolutely love this canvas . It goes perfect with all my decor . I was searching and searching and went through two other pieces of art that I bought and out of my mantle to just not like , so my search continued and at last I found this one . It was a match made in heaven . I’m so pleased with the quality . I ordered in matte finish since I hate the glare , I feel it takes away from the art . Anyway thanks fine art America

I love the prints. It would be so helpful if you would include a card with the artist’s name and a brief bio, and the art piece title. I bought these as gifts and will have to print up cards myself.

Great photograph - looks good on glossy finish canvas.

Artist's Description

Ragweed (Ambrosia psilostachya) pollen, coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM). This pollen is an allergen. Ragweed is a main cause of weed allergies. Ragweed pollen is notorious for causing allergic reactions in humans, specifically allergic rhinitis. Up to half of all cases of pollen-related allergic rhinitis in North America are caused by ragweeds. One of the main contributors to fall allergies is the ragweed plant. A single plant can produce one billion pollen grains per season. Ragweed grows abundantly throughout the South, North, and Midwest, and its lightweight pollen grains can travel up to 400 miles in the wind. Magnification: x340 when shortest axis printed at 25 millimetres.

About Dennis Kunkel Microscopy/science Photo Library

Science Photo Library was founded in 1981 by Michael Marten, one of the authors of "Worlds Within Worlds", a book exploring different ways to observe the universe - from electron micrographs, to images of earthrise taken from the Apollo spacecraft. When Marten started receiving requests for the beautiful images in the book, he had an idea of setting up Science Photo Library. Since then, Science Photo Library has continued to work alongside world acclaimed photographers and the leading science and medical experts to provide a central source of the best science and specialist imagery available. Although the collection started with scientific images, it has grown to encompass all aspects of science and their impact on everyday life.
