Rob Hans was born in New York City in 1967. As one of five children, he grew up in a typical family environment. He enjoyed playing sports, and had an early appreciation for music although he barely played any musical instruments. His musical tastes range from the classics of the '50s to heavy metal, with a little bit of everything else in between. As a young man, he was a volunteer firefighter for over 7 years and then joined the U.S. Navy and was home-ported in Japan and San Diego. Rob has been to 20 countries and 47 U.S. States.
