Such a picturesque image, unmatchable, inimitable work that you do with your captures... Joseph seems to be an interesting character. The basket itself is so fine.

Artist's Description

Joseph Foreman, in his own words, calls himself, "a basket case!" He is a sweetgrass basket maker in the downtown historic Charleston Market in Charleston, SC. His work is excellent and has been passed down through his family for generations. Quite personable, Joseph entertains and instructs passersby with worn magazine clippings of his work in years gone by and a lively reparte! Look him up at The Historic Market whenever you're in town.
