About Sylvia Herrington
I believe my first art experience occurred when I was about a year old trying to touch a sun ray filtering through the blinds. I remember that moment, for it seemed to awaken something within me. I have enjoyed art and photography my entire life. I graduated with honors at Eastern Michigan University, won a painting award there, and have had several one woman art shows. I'm retired now from chasing unruly children around the room while I worked as a substitute teacher. All of my time is now spent painting abstract watercolor paintings, shooting abstract photography, and capturing the natural world with my camera. I live on three wooded acres in a rural community, and I find it very peaceful. It's a good life. Sylvia
